What fun we had yesterday!

When we opened the doors at 5:00 p.m. yesterday, we greeted many old and new buyers!

We will be busy restocking before we open today at 11:00 until 5:00

Come on down!! The sale is on til Saturday 5:00 p.m. and we keep on restocking throughout the sale. You can shop til 9:00 on Friday!

For newcomers.....we're not a shop, we only open twice a year.

Don't miss! Cash or cheque only please.

The pond has its usual family of geese, you might just see them if you take a look!

The day is here! We open at 5:00 pm til 9:00 pm today and we will be having lots of fun through Saturday 5:00 pm when we'll close the doors until fall!

More, more, more!

As you can see from the pictures (link to more below) we are making progress in our set up but still have work to do.

 

Boxes, boxes everywhere, it's like Christmas when we open and unpack! We'll be ready for Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., and we will still have more boxes to unpack to restock! .....and we know we'll be moving in more furniture too as we have such a lovely selection there will be many empty spots to fill!

This is how we start out

Over the next 10 days we will be transforming the Red Barn and the Red Shed! Lots of work ahead, but here is the start. Moving in furniture and deciding where it will go, upstairs  or down!

Once we get the foundation set, we will start unpacking boxes of all of the smaller items we have gathered since the last sale in the fall.

What fun!

The weather was fabulous all week! How lucky can you get? We had another wonderful sale, furniture and smalls going out the door right up to the last hour on Saturday!

 

It was a very busy week, with many changes in the decor of the barn as we constantly filled in the empty spaces. It was great to see many familiar faces and many new that were so excited on their first trip to the Red Barn Sale!

 

Have a great winter! We will see you at the Spring Sale, sometime at the end or May or beginning of June 2013.  If you want to be notified of the sale when the time is near, email to theredbarn@shaw.ca for your name to be added to our email list.

Next spring, we'll  try and do better with posting pictures of the new additions to the barn, this year we kind of fell behind in doing so.

The Weather Was Perfect At The Barn Today!

This morning, before opening....blue, blue sky, the slightest breeze, bright sunshine! We sure picked a good week for our sale!

A couple of early customers stop along the way to say hello to a couple of beautiful horses!

 We had a nice steady stream of visitors on this beautiful day. They didn't bother Breezy, the little white mare, at all.

 As per usual, we've added more stock, big and small. Have a look at the slide show, you may find your special "must have" that wasn't even in the barn until today!



You should really come out again before the sale ends. Last day is Saturday, September 29th, then you'll have to wait until the spring to visit the Red Barn once more!!

Sales were brisk!

 

But don't worry!!

We have more!! We were filling up the empty spots and emptying more boxes of smalls as we winded up the day!

It's coming together! There's still work to do, but it's looking good! Such a variety! We always seem to find some really unique items inbetween the two sales!  A few more pictures for you, but you aren't seeing it all, we're not quite done yet, and of course, we want you to come out and see for yourself the great assortment of antique, vintage and collectible items.

At the Barn today

On the way over to the barn, I had to take another look at these goodies at the Red Shed

 

 I am in LOVE with this old street sign!!! But I promise it will still be there on Monday!

A bushel and a peck? Great for gathering those leaves!

 

Meanwhile back at the barn...

 Here we go again, move, place, rearrange,move it somewhere else, keep at it until it has just the look we are striving for!

That's what we do best!! Moving furniture in and around at the barn today.  Setting up is a big job!! Some of the furniture is in, more to come, and we have started on some of the smalls. Here is a little peek into the very beginning of the sale.

A brand new roof and a new paint job! Much as we love the rustic look of a weathered old barn, there comes a time....

The work has meant a minor delay in getting the barn ready for our fall sale, but we're finally starting and we'll be loaded and ready for the fun to begin on Monday, September 24th, at 3:00 p.m.
